You must teach your pet not to urinate when it is exited. Urinary training is an easy task if undertaken with an apposite amount of devotion and tolerance. You should be fully committed in order to be successful in the training session of your dog.

Give your dog the best, go to doggy dog supplies to get your X Large Dog Treats today. You will find a huge line of Small Dog Beds like a beautiful and elegant Large Dog Carriers that will allow your doggy to look beautiful all day long.

You should show it the pertinent place where it should urinate and poop. However, you should understand that your dog may require longer durations to learn various commands. Even if, your pet is making mistakes and accidents, should maintain your patience.

You must always go into raptures over your dog each and every time he goes to the proper place for urination or defecation. It may happen many times that your pet may out of the blue urinate when it gets exited, while it is still learning. Even after warning your pet, it continues to make mistakes then you must use a leash or a crate to have control on it.

You can take your dog to the appropriate place where it should urinate and defecate. It would be very irrational of you to punish your dog physically for the mistakes it makes. You should remember that your beloved pet is still learning etiquettes, and it may take a outlying time to learn.

There are various other methods also to deal with the issue. One of the method is to educate your dog not to urinate when it gets exited is by the use of a newspaper. This newspaper should be slobbered with its urine. You should place the newspaper at the suitable location, where you want your dog to urinate. The newspaper has the stink of its own urine, and this will help your dog to memorize the precise place where it should do away with its daily wastes.

If you have sufficient information on the issue of teaching your pet dog not to urinate when it gets exited, you can easily train it. You can also gather other sensible information from various other sources and should implement it. However, you should make it certain that the sources are reliable as well as practical.

You should be always determined and patient while imparting training to your lovely pet dog. You must dedicate hundred percent for the training sessions and that too with full commitment. You pet may take a long time to learn things, but you should be mild while handling such situations. These aspects if borne in mind will definitely help you.

You will probably want to take a quick look at some dog clothes.

Are you the athletic type that has considered starting a sports activity program that you and your dog can both enjoy together? Would you like to see him jump high into the air and catch a high-speed disc or retrieve a ball thrown out of visibility into a trial-area? Or maybe go through a maze in an obstacle course and watch your buddy come through with tremendous accuracy?

If this interests you, then you’ll be happy to know that there are several sports activities that you and your canine friend can both participate in. Dog sports such as agility, obedience trials, musical freestyle, canicross, disc dog, field trials, and many others are becoming more and more popular among dog enthusiasts, and for various reasons:

What exactly are Dog Sports? Glad you asked! Dog Sports are activites in which dogs compete in agility, obedience trials, and musical freestyle, disc dog, canicross, field trials, and much much more! It can be compared to Doggie Olympics or Dog Tri-Athalons and as a loving owner, you get to participate with your 4-legged friend! These Dog Sports Events are becoming more and more prominent and popular all over!

BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN ANY DOG SPORT EVENT HAVE YOUR DOG THOROUGHLY AND COMPLETLY CHECKED OUT BY YOUR VET TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE ABLE TO COMPETE IN SUCH HIGH IMPACT ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES!

Two Factors To Consider When Picking A Sport

What type of activity or sport does your dog like to do, one that he does really well with? If you already know the answer to this question, then the next step is to just get familiar with the types of dog sports that are out there and pick one that you think best matches your dog’s favorite activity.

When you go to a Dog Sporting competition, there are many events! It can be hard to know which ones to sign your dog up for, so we have devised a list of two factors to keep in mind when you attend a Dog Sports Competition.

1. His breed. Your dog’s genetics play an important part of the type of activity that he may enjoy, as well as his ability to perform that specific activity. Understanding his history and heritage makes it easier for you to find a sport or activity that is most suited for his breed.

Learn more about your breed. Find out what type of job his ancestors did and what they were originally bred to do. For instance, most, if not all dog breeds from the spaniel or retriever family, will do great in water sports and retrieving, although it doesn’t mean that water sports and retrieving are the only two things that you should consider.

Another factor to consider is their personality! Yes your dog’s personality will play a big role in these games and activities. Dogs who have a one track mind when it comes to running long distance or catching a disk in air are ideal for sports. However, any dog can be with a little patience and training who may seem slow at start or slow motivated to be a great sports dog!

Be sure that you take a quick peek at these awesome deals on chicken dog treats and rawhide dog treats.

In a dog’s life, the owner is probably the center of his world. But if most dog owners have the passion for their pets, not all of them have the time or knowledge to train their pets. So, when dog training before was regarded as just a small time specialist’s job, the attitude of the time has changed. Being a certified dog trainer is to be considered to be a good career. Dogs certainly need training. More so than most owners know about it.

Dog trainers are often people who do what they love. They have a passion for pets. What they usually have to teach are the basics of dog and owner bonding and how they are to interact with each other. Dog trainers find it a reward to have an effect, in their job, passing along their experience-tested knowledge to people with the same pet passion as they have.

If you’re not in love with the idea of taking care of pets, don’t become his trainer. Its first requirement is a love for animals, and since you own a dog, I assume you love your dog. But love is not the only requirement to become your dog’s trainer; you also need to have the patience and commitment to train them.

Dogs aren’t always cute. You have to clean their poop, too. Most people put off calling up a dog trainer until their dogs become hostile. And when they are called up, the dog’s training begins, from the moment the trainer steps inside the home, and throughout the dog’s natural life.

To train a dog means you must know how the dog’s mind and his body works, and how most effectively to communicate with them. Usually the puppy stage is where owners rack up doggie complaints; it’s the time when dogs need the most training, and when dog trainers are most needed. There will be times when trainers hold classes on how to train a puppy. It’s not too different from teaching a child in the early years

But sometimes dogs misbehave, and some special course is crafted to train them. Many techniques and various methods are tried. Instructions from the dog trainer are aimed at orienting the owner to train their dog. The usual technique is through positive rewards. Other topics cover safety for both owner and dog. Difficult dogs can be difficult to deal with, and it helps to know the basics of dealing with dogs, especially those with histories of violence. The actual training begins once the course has been designed to train the dog

How a dog behaves is dependent on how the dog trainer handles him. So a responsible owner-trainer will train his pet not to chew on property, inside and outside the home. Destruction to property — eaten flowers and chewed on furniture — is a common complaint against dogs. This is their nature. So if they are neglected, they will cease to be nice and will remember only being punished for chewing up things. Dogs have feelings, too. So it’s important for us to be careful in dealing with them.

I bet you never thought that you could know more about your dog’s essential nature: their sensitivity and disposition with certain situations by doing nothing more than looking into their eyes.

Through his eyes, you can get a better understanding about your dog’s personality and behavior. You’ll be able to know if certain behaviors that he exhibits are natural for him, or if they are behaviors that he has acquired due to an outside force such as a traumatic experience. By recognizing your dog’s inner nature, you’ll be able to truly “see” your dog in a deeper way, know why he does what he does, and what you can do to fix it.

The method is called Iridology. Iridology is an ancient practice of looking at the iris of the eye (irid) and analyzing the colors, textures, and markings to reveal the constitution. A dog’s constitution is his inner nature, his character, and what occurs in the body according to the way he lives.

By studying your dog’s constitution, you’ll be able to figure out the main cause of his behavioral problem, and then determine the best way for him to solve it. Iridologists classified three types of constitution on dogs that have the tendency to show anxious, phobic, or nervous behaviors.

The first of the three constitutions is Dogs With Emotional Bodies. This classification says that these are dogs that have a series of “openings” shaped like flower petals all around the iris. These openings are called Lacunas. Dogs with emotional bodies are believed to be born healers. Intristically with in them is the ability to sense emotional energies of everyone he meets. In other words, this is a dog that is very intune with his environment and the people in it. On the downside though, these dogs often have a hard time of letting go and handling these different types of energies. This dog will typically exhibit because of the overwhelming outside influences they will be more clingy, possessive, destructiveness, and depression.

2. Dogs That Are Nervous Sensitive: These are dogs that show lines running around their iris. These lines are nerve rings and indicate that the dogs are experiencing stress, which has a direct influence on the nervous system. Nervous sensitive dogs are usually demanding, rigid, controlling, and bossy.

On the positive side, they are hard-working and love a set routine. In order to feel safe and secure, they need to stay busy and have the assurance of knowing what is going on around them at all times. Precise commands and clear directions are crucial.

If you are looking for some awesome deals on dog supplies and smoked dog bones?

3. Dogs That Are Immune Reactive: These dogs show a thick, white halo around the iris. This halo signals “turbulence” in the nervous system. This “turbulence” is a result of being overwhelmed by different stimuli, both internal and external.

These dogs also lack the ability to sort out certain information that they receive. Dogs with this constitution are reactionary and overexcited. They are unable to differentiate between threatening and non-threatening situations.

I know where you can get a awesome deal on healthy dog treats

If you have ever brought a new puppy home from the shelter or a breeder, you realize how important it is to get that tiny ball of fur housebroken as quickly as possible. But potty training a puppy usually takes patience, consistency and – yes, time. The great news is that the more time you are willing to commit to the process at the beginning, the less time your pup may take to learn his lessons well. Keep that in mind before you bring your pup home, prepare well for the process, and you and your pup will be on the path to a long, happy life together.

The Advantages of Crate Training
Many pet owners have become quite partial to crate training as a means of potty training a puppy, and with good reason. A crate can perform a multitude of functions for your pup. For starters, it will offer a secure place for your pet to rest and sleep. Second, restricting your pup to his crate when you are out ensures that your home will still be in one piece when you get back. Finally, using a crate for potty training your puppy will teach your dog to hold his urge to eliminate until he is in the proper location to do so. Most dogs will not eliminate in their crate because they know not to go to the bathroom in the same space that they sleep in.

Before placing your pup in his crate for a period of time, you must make sure that he has time outside to potty. When you let your pup out of his crate, you should consistently take him outside straight away. A crate can be a excellent training tool when you are away from home, or if you are involved in an activity for a period of time that will keep you from watching your dog sufficiently.

Don’t forget that puppies should not be left in a crate all day, although they can sleep in one throughout the night. If you work all day, do your best to return home for lunch to give your puppy a break, or have a neighbor or friend come by your home to do so.

Paper Training
Paper training does not mean using a rolled newspaper to hit your puppy when he potties in the home. That is without doubt the most ineffective means of potty training a puppy that there is. Paper training actually refers to indoor puppy potty training, where you teach your pup to go to the bathroom on papers or training pads that you lay down on the floor for him. This type of potty training for puppies is usually best done when you can confine your pup to a single room in the home, such as the kitchen. Whenever you see your puppy begin to nose around the floor as if he is looking for a spot, take your pet to the paper potty. When he gets this process down, move the papers closer to the door. Eventually your pup will learn to go to the door when he needs to go to the bathroom.

With a bit of patience and consistency, your puppy potty training will succeed much sooner than you might think possible.

As any dog owner already knows, a dog collar is an absolute necessity for keeping your dog under control. When you go to the pet store to pick up a collar for your 4 legged friend, you will notice that there are numerous different types of dog collars on the market today. You can purchase a basic collar for about $5 or you can purchase a personalized designer collar for around $50 or more. However, did you know that the latest type of collar is the GPS dog training collar.

What Exactly a GPS Dog Training Collar Is

A GPS dog training collar is 1 of the many options available for those dogs who have a tendency to wander. This is actually the latest advancement in dog collars. This GPS dog training collar is actually embedded with GPS technology that will help you to trace your dog anywhere in the world because it is based upon a sophisticated satellite communication system. Embedded in the GPS dog training collar is a GPS modem and a receiver with software that has been incorporated into the system. So, all that you need to have in order to track your dog is a mobile phone.

Training your pet and man’s best friend may best be accomplished with an electronic dog training collar, which is certainly a very popular method being used by more and more dog owners today. The electronic dog training collar helps in training the pet, or it can also be used for professional training as it allows the pet to attain a higher level of obedience. You may have your work cut out for you when trying to decide on one particular electronic dog training collar as there are many different types available which can be a bit confusing in the beginning.

Many Changes Have Taken Place

There is no doubt that the evolution of the electronic dog training collar has seen many advances and a good one must have a good range. You will get better results if you have your dog wear one of these electronic dog training collars for at least a few weeks and also make sure that you remove it four to five times every day. Removing the collar will aid in teaching the dog to remember the shocks that he or she feels when wearing the electronic dog training collar.

Once the collar is off and the dog does not experience any more shocks he will learn the difference between getting a shock and not having any and thus learn to obey the commands given to him to avoid dog health problems. You should also ensure that the nature of the shock should be enough to turn his head and using it should be like wearing a leash. Remember, that the electronic dog training collar has two functions – keeping the dog within boundaries and helping it to understand house rules as well as behaviors that it should conform to.

If you wish to teach your dog to stay within the boundaries while using an electronic dog training collar, make sure that you install an electronic fence in the yard. On the other hand, for teaching it correct behavior you can operate it by sending shocks to the dog thereby teaching him that some types of behavior are not condonable. You can also use a remote to send the shock. In any case, these collars will be of great help in teaching the dog proper behavior. Nevertheless, there are voices that are raised concerning the inhumane treatment meted out to the dog.

The electronic dog training collar can also be used to stop the dog from becoming a nuisance when it barks excessively is called Anti Bark Collars. The important thing to remember is to use the electronic dog training collar in the proper way if you want the best results. It is thus necessary to first know how to operate it correctly before using it on the dog.

Healthy Dogs are wonderful creatures and they make very considerate companions. Throughout the ages, we’ve heard stories of dogs helping their master recover from trauma, ailments and accidents. Based on the many success stories of dogs helping their master recover, a group of scientist studied dog training therapy and how it can be useful in helping sick people find the courage to overcome many medical obstacles. According to experts who have studies the benefits of dog training therapy, the unconditional love that dogs often give to their masters is something that is very empowering on the part of their owners. The presence of the dog and its undying loyalty can inspire its owner and help him or her see things in a more positive light.

Dog Visitation

As dog training therapy becomes more and more accepted as a means of helping patients recover from their ailments faster, there are now many hospitals and clinics that facilitates dog visitation. Children’s hospitals are specifically very open to the idea of dog visitation. Children and dogs belong to each other thus a visit from their Old Dogs could really kids cope better with their illness. According to studies, children are usually very much attached to their pets and it means a lot to them to be able to hold their dogs. Very sick children usually brighten up when they see their dogs.

Since not all children have dogs of their own, some children’s hospitals have their own dog ambassadors. These dog ambassadors are well trained on the proper ways to meet and greet people as well as other dogs. All dogs that are involved in these dog training therapy sessions are certified as therapy dogs, meaning, they have passed the rigid standards of canine good citizen test. These ambassador dogs a well-mannered and well-groomed so they are not really a threat to a sick child. Furthermore, since these dogs work in hospitals and around sick children, these dogs are very familiar with hospital equipments. In most cases, therapy dogs are trained to work around hospital equipments thus is less likely for these dogs to run around and knockdown some equipments.

Labradors are usually used as ambassador dogs because they are very friendly, well-adjusted and wonderful with children. According to experts, the Labrador is very mild tempered and it is neither aggressive nor territorial. Unlike some other big dogs, the Labradors are most likely to befriend strangers than snarl or intimidate them. Furthermore, the Labradors are easy to train thus making them very suitable for dog training therapy to avoid dog health problems.

Barking is a perfectly natural canine behavior. Birds sing; frogs croak; and a dog barks, whines and howls. If you have a dog, you better expect some barking, whining or howling. It is unrealistic and unfair to think you can train your dog to stop barking altogether. However, you, your neighbors and your dog will all be much happier if the barking is under control.

Dogs are social animals. They need friends and companionship. Understand them and train them. Check out this link dog training mastery review for help. You will not disappoint

Before you can fix barking dog problems, you should first identify what is making your dog bark. In general, dogs bark because they are:

The Weather

When it comes to vocalizing dogs, the general rule is: the warmer the weather, the more the dogs will bark. Of course, you expect to hear more barking as the weather gets warmer, because the dogs are more likely to be outside and you are more likely to have your windows open. But I don’t think it’s just that you hear them more, I’m convinced they actually bark more as things heat up, especially at night.

Nature Versus Nurture

Beyond the weather though, what accounts for the differences in barking patterns between dogs? Why does one dog bark while another dog, in the exact same situation, remains silent, or, for that matter, why does a given dog bark at one thing and not another?

Nurture

The extent to which a dog will tend to bark is determined by his genetics. However, whether or not the dog actually barks is ultimately determined by the consequences of vocalizing. If barking works out well for the dog, he will bark some more. If barking consistently brings about an undesirable consequence, the dog will soon stop barking. So, like most other behavior, barking is the product of its consequences.

Use Diversionary Tactics

Get a tin can, fill it with pennies, and snap the lid back on top. When it shakes it makes a noise that many dog owners find attracts their dog’s attention to the can and away from whatever their barking at. If you have hard floors, you might just drop the can on the floor.

Squirt guns and spray bottles also work well as a diversionary technique to stop a barking dog. Your dog barks, you squirt her. She forgets the kid on the bike outside and looks for the source of the water.

Use and elaborate on these techniques and you’ll finally have the peace you’re looking for.

Make your dog comfortable and control their barking problem. Understand them, check out some of the best information on online dog training tips

Do you know about Dynamite® pet food? If you believe what you hear on the radio, you might think that there is nothing better to feed your dogs. Our experience is that it is absolutely awesome, and for our dogs, it is “what’s for dinner,” but there are better ways. We know what they are, and you should know about them too.

In a perfect world, everyone would like to give their dogs the VERY best pet care there is. I hope this is true for you. If so, here is some background you should know:

Don’t believe the myth that dogs are “carnivores.” Dogs are not carnivores – they are omnivores. To be healthy, they MUST eat both meat and plants. But, the primary way they get those veggies in nature has created some confusion and misinterpretations.

If you get to watch a wolf or coyotte, or other wild dog make a natural kill, you will see that they go right for the stomach, and the contents thereof. In a healthy herbivore, the stomach is full of partially digested vegetables. For the dog having dinner, this is the “salad” before the meat and bone entree. This is how they get needed plant-based vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. It only appears that they are just eating meat.

If they were to ONLY eat the flesh of animals they would quickly become ill and they would ultimately die from either nutritional deficiency or from acidosis. We all know they eat the flesh AND BONES—together, if the animal is small enough. If it is a larger animal, the bone is chewed and swallowed a little later, but it isn’t because they are out of meat—it is critical to the proper utilization of the flesh. The flesh is an ACID ASH food, and it must be neutralized with about four times as much ALKALINIZING bone and vegetables in order to maintain the healthy balance of 20% acid, 80% alkaline.

If you are interested in learning more about all this, pick up a copy of Dr. Ian Billinghurst’s books on the B.A.R.F. diet, or “Give Your Dog A Bone.”

recently I have read that, for the “real” Billinghurst raw food diet, you need to be sure to get the original books that he wrote. Some reviews of his recent books say that he sold out to the processed food industry. personally, I doubt it, but I have not read his recent books. I would guess that Dr. Billinghurst has come to accept the reality that very few people are taking the time to feed their dogs a healthy raw diet. We have observed that few will even take the time to feed their FAMILIES a raw diet, even after they understand how much difference it would make to their health. THIS FACT is why the Dynamite® pet food is so relevant to the health of your dog.

The value of the Dynamite® pet food is that it is a quick-feed, out-of-the-bag highly nutritious kibble that is toxin-free, unlike most ready-to-serve foods. The ingredients are very carefully selected and controlled to assure that the caninicide caused by the mainstream dog food companies are never a factor when feeding any Dynamite product. The food is manufactured in a plant that never allows any preservatives or toxins into the building, let alone into the food.

But, even Dynamite® pet food was not good enough for the owners of Dynamite. They dreamed of creating a dog food that was a ready-made, easy-to-feed Biologically Appropriate RAW Food diet. This past year they finally got it all together, and they are now producing the new “Dynamite Ultimate Diet for Dogs” — a raw extruded meat and vegetable dog food that is dried into a fine meal. It actually uses fresh-killed whole beef – not “beef by-products.”

The aspect of this new food that is not perfect is that it isn’t ready to just pour out of the bag and leave as food. It is a very dry extruded “meal” that needs to be recombined with about 4 parts water, then stirred and soaked before feeding, and it is BEST when mixed with fresh, raw LIVE vegetables that have been liquefied with water in a Vita-Mix (carrots, spinach, beets, left-over green salad, green beans, etc.). Because of this, most people with busy schedules still prefer to feed the Dynamite® pet food – a ready-to-feed kibble that can be poured and served—hassle free AND with a clear conscience.

Although Dynamite® pet food might be only the third-best pet care, it still beats out all of its commercial competitors! We only know of the one commercial food that is better, and it is made by the same company …

As your dog gets older, he or she will need special types of food to keep him or her healthy and strong. Always remember that old dogs have different nutrient requirements compared to younger dogs so you should make sure that your dog gets what it needs. Always remember that the stamina of your dog wanes as he or she ages.

Signs of aging in dogs

The various breeds of cat and dog experience aging differently. In some animals (toy breeds of dogs, for example), changes in the heart are common, whereas in cats, the kidneys may be one of the first organs to show signs of aging.

Nutritional needs As dogs age, their metabolism slows and their caloric need decreases. (This decrease is normally in the region of 20 percent.) Since the older dog’s activity level usually declines as well, his energy needs are reduced by a further 10 to 20 percent. This can lead to obesity in senior dogs. Senior dogs also require an increase in fiber and a decrease in fat. Nutritional supplements are often advised, particularly if the dog has a limited apdogite.

Unlike dogs, a cat’s need for energy stays relatively consistent throughout adulthood. While obesity is one of the main health problems of middle-aged cats, older cats tend to lose some of that fat. Some studies suggest that senior cats do not digest/absorb fat as well as when they were younger.

Skin and coat changes As with people, older dogs and cats may start to grey. The coat may become thinner and lose its lustre, however, this may be a sign of nutritional deficiency rather than old age. Dog and cat owners should be encouraged to groom their dogs more, with special attention being paid to the anal area. This will be a good opportunity to check for sores and tumours. Dry skin may be a problem for older dogs. Fatty acid supplements should help alleviate the condition, while improving the lustre of the coat.

Just like humans, dogs need to eat a properly balanced diet including the 6 basic nutrients needed to give your dog optimum health. These nutrients are fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, proteins and water. Providing these essential ingredients as part of your dog food nutrition will promote healthy growth, energy, replace worn tissue and help fight off any diseases.

Want to learn more about having a perfectly trained, happy and healthy pooch? Check out this link dog food help

Raw hides are popular dog treats and are not expensive, but have no nutritional value. The artificial preservatives and coloring can cause allergic reactions as well as rashes and irritation in the mouth. They also can have harmful bacteria that can cause intestinal upset. Another problem is the fact that raw hides are not digestible and can cause a blockage which could be life threatening and require surgery. Raw fruits and vegetable such as apples, bananas and carrots are good treats, but grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs.

An ingredient shown to be beneficial for pet nutrition is DHA which is from the Omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil. Studies have shown that puppies learn faster when their mothers have been given DHA during their pregnancy and also when the pups have been given the supplement. There are other health benefits contributed to DHA, for example, support of the retina, which is important for older dogs.

DHA combined with an amino acid known as arginine is thought to prolong remission and the lifespan of dogs with lymphosarcoma while they are receiving treatment.

Animals have to acquire all the vitamins and minerals they receive from their diets because unlike humans, their bodies do not produce the vitamins they need. For this reason, a high quality pet food is very important and a quality, all natural pet vitamin is essential.

Feeding the pet with all natural home-made pet food can offer the same benefit or sometimes even more. Pets like humans also become highly vulnerable as a result of their nutritional choices. So the choice is yours what you want for your beloved pet click dog food secret review

There are few times in life that are more thrilling than bringing home your new puppy. Everyone in the family will want to hold and play with that adorable little puppy as often as possible for as long as possible during those first few days. The excitement will be enough to wear your puppy clean out, but a lack of structure and boundaries may serve to confuse her and can breed insecurity as well. That is why it is so important to prepare for your pup’s homecoming by determining what the house rules androutine will be, and to stick with them as you start the process of training your puppy.

The Importance of Routine
Bear in mind that your tiny puppy has lived his entire short life thus far in the warmth and security of his mother and littermates. Suddenly, he is lifted from his safe environment to go it alone in your home. What will help this little guy to feel safe and secure again? Besides plenty of love and care, your puppy will respond well to a routine that he can rely on. Consistency is the key here, whether it comes to his meals, playtime or housebreaking. Before you get your puppy home, determine which family member will be responsible for the feedings, and ensure that the designated person will be available to keep a regular feeding schedule for your pet. Talk to a vet or breeder about the best way to feed your puppy in terms of number and frequency of feedings. Your beginning puppy training will go much more smoothly if your pet has a routine that he can depend on.

For more advice on house training your puppy check out these articles
tips for potty training dogs
tips on housebreaking puppies
house training a new puppy

The Importance of Rules
If is also a good idea to decide on some house rules for puppy training before adding your pup to the mix. For instance, where do you want the puppy to sleep at night? If your answer is his crate, you mustdo not let him sleep in your bed with you. Not once. Not ever. Not even if he whimpers and cries throughout his first night at home with you, unless you want to make a co-sleeping arrangement part of your normal routine. Dogs, just like small kids, require firm boundaries to live within for consistency and security. By sticking with the rules your puppy will know what is expected of him, and in most cases he will be happy to oblige. Consistency in rules is an important element of effective puppy training.

Your puppy will be a welcome new member to the family, as long as you prepare for his arrival by establishing some house rules and a routine that you can all stick with. Enjoy your new pet, and happy puppy training!

No matter what breed of dog you own, you are going to want to make sure that they are properly trained so they will be obedient and have proper behavior skills. Especially if you have children you are going to need to make sure that they are going to be well behaved and not present any sort of danger.

There are some very important aspects involved with Yorkshire Terrier training, which you are going to want to be aware of and remember if you want to have success training your own Yorkie. Really the first step to Yorkshire Terrier training is getting your dog to respect you. Only once you have established this will you be able to get them to listen to you and obey your commands. You must make your dog understand that you are the leader, the one in charge, and not allow them to be the dominant one of the household.
Yorkshire Terrier training really does not have to be all that difficult. There are a few aspects in particular that you are going to want to take seriously when it comes to Yorkshire Terrier training, one being socialization. If you do not socialize your dog properly they are going to grow up to be timid and afraid, not only of other dogs but people as well.

To socialize them properly you want to care and adore for them, but at the same time make sure that you give them space and do not play with them constantly when they are young because they need a lot of time to sleep. Keep them to a schedule so that they know what to expect and when, as dogs will really abide by a given routine. It is good for them to know what time they should get up, eat and go to bed.
To avoid many Yorkie problems and also get a well-behaved and polite pet, then Yorkshire Terrier training is going to be a critical step of your raising them. There is a great importance to training your dog to be obedient, especially if you have children in the home. Yorkies are really adorable dogs and you want them to live up to their reputation as kindhearted and lovable pets.

Just remember that your pet is your precious companion, and they are really like another member of the family. They are a friend more than a creature to dominant and control, and remember to keep this mind the entire time that you are training them. Obedience training is critical when it comes to nurturing a healthy human-animal relationship between you and your beloved pet and also in terms of raising a socially adept pet. You will love your Yorkie even more if you train them properly, so it will definitely be worth all the time and effort you put into it.

Yorkshire Terrier training is going to be a vital step in the raising of your dog. Using dog training books can be very advantageous, especially if you are new to this and not sure where to start.

Have you ever considered adopting a Bichon Frise dog? Though there are many dog breeds out there that will make great pets, this particular breed stands out from the rest in many areas. Most importantly, this dog is ideal for families looking to adopt a family pet. Bichon Frise dogs are small, however they are not yippy. They have loving personalities and are agreeable with other pets, other people and especially children. Families with small children will be especially pleased with Bichon Frise dogs because they are small themselves, as they usually grow no larger than twelve inches tall.

For some potential owners, these positive qualities are enough to seal the deal. Yet, others are deterred by the tendency of Bichon Frise dogs to be high maintenance when it comes to grooming and exercise. Most of all, however, people have problems with the Bichon Frise’s reputation for being nearly impossible to train.
When you are trying to concentrate on raising a family, the last thing you want is a high-maintenance pet. The main problem with Bichon Frise dogs is that they are difficult to train. That is not to say that they are lacking intelligence; the dogs are smart and eager to please. However, housebreaking Bichon Frise dogs has proven to be problematic as they can be very stubborn and hardheaded. Part of the training process for this dog is cleaning up accidents. Yet, by utilizing several training strategies, the training process will go by in no time!

Crate training is frequently recommended for Bichon Frise dogs, and it can help you to keep an eye on your dog at all times. Also, start your dog’s training early so as to establish a routine. Finally, keep lots and lots of doggy treats on hand. When your dog makes an accomplishment, throw them a treat and a few words of encouragement. You’d be surprised at how far these simple acts will take you on the road to training you Bichon Frise dog.
It will be easy to get the impression that the Bichon Frise dog is high maintenance and not worth the trouble. After all, there are many Bichon Frise problems associated with training, including housebreaking. Additionally, the dog requires regular exercise and grooming routines. However, the dog’s sweet temperament and bubbly personality make all of these potential problems worth all your time and effort!

And remember, you don’t have to go through the training process alone! There are many resources available to anyone looking to train their Bichon Frise dog. General obedience training from a trained professional can make your job as the owner so much easier when it comes to housebreaking your pet. Additionally, you can seek advice from dog training books, which you can get at your local library or bookstore. Finally, ask your neighbors and friends with dogs what methods have worked for them. Don’t give up on your Bichon Frise dog—you’ll be missing out on a lot!

Bichon Frise training might seem like a waste of your time, but this is not true. Dog training books can be a huge source of guidance when training a Bichon Frise. A quick visit to the library or bookstore can get you well on your way to having a well-trained dog.

Pomeranians are cute little toy dogs that people love to death when they first see them. But they can come with their own brand of Pomeranian problems that can quickly make the novelty wear off. Discuss with your breeder any of these potential issues and make sure you are sure you want a Pomeranian before you go to the trouble of buying one and then bringing it home. Sometimes certain breeds are just not right for certain people so be sure before you invest in your new pet.

Pomeranians are not good dogs for kids. They don’t like the running around kids do and they certainly will not react well to the game of pull the doggie’s fur either. A Pomeranian stressed out by kids may start to bite so if you have kids then you may want to avoid the Pomeranian breed of dog for you and your family.
Pomeranians love to bark. They will bark at anything that they sense moving whether that thing is really there or not. The subtlest of movements will get that shrill little bark going and this can be one of the bigger Pomeranian problems you will have. People that live in apartment buildings can make enemies really quick if they buy a Pomeranian because it will probably spend all day barking its head off. If you have neighbors that live very close to you then you may want to consider not having a Pomeranian.

Pomeranians are toy breeds that are very fragile. People seem to forget this when they see their little Pomeranian playing rough sometimes but if your little dog gets sat on it can die. Even something as seemingly simple as a leap from the back of the couch to the floor can kill a Pomeranian so always watch out for your dog.
A Pomeranian will test your will because they are an extremely smart little breed of dog and one of the Pomeranian problems that you may experience is that it has a mind of its own and really doesn’t care what you have to say. You will find yourself repeating yourself a lot and if that does not sound like what you want to be spending your time doing with your pet then you may want to consider not getting a Pomeranian.

Pomeranians come with a wide variety of issues and problems that can only be dealt with through time and repetition. The dog is too smart to let simple punishment deter it so you should never punish the dog. Always use positive reinforcement or strong consistent behavior with your Pomeranian to let it know that you mean business. But if you are not looking for a challenge then you may want to avoid a Pomeranian.

This article gives helpful information on Pomeranian training. This article makes a great supplement to dog training books.

A Poodle is a wonderful dog for any type of personality. It will suit people who seek a calm dog, and it will suit people who seek a bouncy dog. The Poodle can and will be everything you will want it to be.

Generally speaking, the Poodle is a dog that does not give much trouble while training. If there will be problems, you will find that the root cause of the problem will be more with the owner of the dog rather than the dog itself. Hence, if you find that the dog is not behaving properly, you should take a long look at what you are doing. Most of the Poodle problems you are encountering will be somewhere or other your own fault. The main causes for Poodle bad behavior will be fear of excessive disciplinary action, over pampering, leaving the dog alone for a long time alone, underfeeding or over feeding it, and so on.
One of the main causes for Poodle problems is fear. This fear can be about any type of overpowering by people or other animals. For example, do you over react when your Poodle does the slightest mistake? Or do you have and other animals that actively dominate your dog? Any of these traits will make the dog timid and withdrawn for which it might behave very odd. It might always look for a place to hide when people come home, or it might become excessively aggressive.

Other signs that the dog is not happy are chewing excessively on anything it find at home, tearing clothes or frequently urinating about the house. Sometimes this happens when it is left alone for a long period of time, which means that it is suffering from separation anxiety.

Separations anxiety can also be diagnosed when a Poodle becomes over excited with your home coming, even if you left your home for a brief time.
Poodle problems nay be caused by boredom. These animals love company and become very upset if they are neglected or kept aloof from you or the family they live with. A bored Poodle is simply dynamite. They will throw tantrums exactly as a small child will do to attract the attention of their parents. That means they will do everything that you will not want them to do – such as chewing everything that they find within their reach, urinating in your bed and shoes, etc.

The good news is that all these Poodle problems can disappear if you start paying attention to your dog. Avoid these problems by training the dog well from the beginning. In case your Poodle is from a rescue center, you will need to be very patient and kind with the dog to make it forget its traumatic past before it accepts you. You will need to have a lot of patience, while at the same time you will have to reinforce good behavior with treats and praise until your dog behaves properly.

Poodle training is easy as long as you use positive reinforcement and lavish praise. Before you buy those big and voluminous dog training books, read this article. You might find all your answers here.

Dog training methods differ from one trainer to another, but they are all intended to produce results. Expert professionals for example, use dog training methods so these wonderful animals will not make messes in the home. They also use their dog training methods so a dog will learn to obey their owners. Different methods are used for different kinds of training, for example to stop a dog from being aggressive, or to stop a dog from barking when they shouldn’t. Some dogs get in the habit of just barking for no reason, but dog training methods will make sure that a dog knows this is not appropriate behavior. Dog training methods should provide each owner with a dog that behaves properly in all circumstances, especially the ones important to their owners.

One dog Obedience Training method commonly used, is to provide treats when the dog demonstrates acceptable behavior. This signals to the dog that the trainer approves of the behavior. If a dog is supposed to sit, the trainer will make this command. If the dog sits on the command, the trainer gives the dog some kind of a treat. If the dog does not sit, the trainer often repeats the command and provides some guidance to the dog. When the dog eventually follows the command, the trainer gives the dog a treat to reinforce this good behavior.

Some Dog Training Methods Have Different Tools

Some dog training methods use some specific tools to help the dog demonstrate appropriate behavior. The clicker method is a very interesting method that some trainers believe in wholeheartedly. This dog training method uses only positive reinforcement of good behavior and never any punishment for bad behavior. Owners can use this method at home once the technique is learned, and a clicker can be found at most pet shops.

Many expert trainers of marine animals such as whales use this method. The trainer for Dog Excercising makes the click when the dog does something right and then gives the dog a treat. The dog comes to associate the clicker with a treat and tries to repeat the good behavior to hear the click again along with a treat.

Some trainers use negative reinforcement to train their dogs, but many people think that this method is not very effective because the dog will only behave properly if the trainer is present. This means that a dog may learn to stop chewing on the couch if the trainer is present, but if the trainer is not present, the dog will chew on the couch. Many dog trainers avoid this type of training because they believe that this is not very helpful for the dog or the owner. However, you’ll need to make sure and create a list of questions important to you when looking for a dog trainer, to ensure you choose the right fit.

Dog training school has become a very lucrative business. This is because most people who own a dog simply do not have the time to train him how to obey.

Another Option Besides A Dog Training School

If you love your dog, then more than likely you are willing to invest in a good dog training school. If a dog training school does not work for you then a dog trainer may be what you need. He will come to your home to train your dog whenever you set up an appointment that is convenient for you. Regardless of what method you choose, you are still going to have to learn the commands that your dog is learning and the Dog Sexual Behaviour that is associated with them. As such, this really is a 2 way training.

Run Your Own Dog Training School After Observing The Professionals

Of course, you can always have your very own dog training school. If you decide to do this though you will first need to establish yourself as a professional in this business, otherwise people are not going to even bother thinking about using your dog training school. However, just taking the time to actually realize that there is a definite need for this type of a business may be the spark of initiative that you need in order to get to work establishing your professionalism. Once you decide that you really do want to own a dog training school, you will need to put together a concrete plan of what you are going to need to do in order to make this business venture work for you.

One such thing you are going to want to do is pay attention to what the professionals are doing in their Bird Dog Training school. This can sometimes be difficult, especially if you are clueless as to how to do this. If so, it is advisable that you are able to watch the professionals do their dog training. You can do this by enrolling yourself in training sessions to equip yourself with the proper knowledge and skills that you will need in order to set up your dog training school. Once you meet the dog trainer, you should use him to help you network, which will more than likely be where the majority of your referrals come from. This is because you can work out deals with other trainers wherein you pay them a certain percentage of the fee you earn from the referral. In this way, you can put up your own dog training school with minimal effort.

Having a dog is very enjoyable especially if your dog is obedient to avoid dog health problems. If you live in Mission Bay, it is best to find a dog training school in your locality. The good thing about sending your dog to a dog training Mission Bay school is that you will not have so much trouble teaching your dogs how to obey. Dog training Mission Bay schools are noted for its programs that allow the dogs and their handlers to work more efficiently together. Trainers in these dog training Mission Bay schools understand the uniqueness of the dog and handler relationship and thrive to make their program suitable for different types of situations.

Basic Principles Of Dog Obedience Training

If you enroll your dog in one of those dog training Mission Bay schools, you will learn to communicate with your dog better. If your dog happens to be one of those overly exuberant dogs who love to romp around and rarely listens to instructions, don’t worry, the people at dog training Mission Bay School will help you connect with your dog and work well with it.

When training an exuberant dog to avoid Dog Diseases, it is best to wear the dog down before attempting to teach it something. At dog training Mission Bay School, trainers do not really force the dogs to pay attention when it is still very excited. In most cases, dogs are allowed to run around for a while to get rid of their excess energies. In principle, by the time the dog has expended its excess energies, it is more likely to listen and follow instructions.

At dog training Mission Bay School, the dog and the handler is made to work towards a common goal. In other words, both the handlers and the dogs learn at the same time. The trainers teach the handlers on voice control and sequencing. Note that when training dogs, verbal communication is important. The tone for each command varies. If the handler do not know to issue commands in varied tones, it is often difficult for the dog to respond to the command accordingly. Furthermore, the sequence of commands must be precise. Dogs are more receptive if the commands are issued in a sequence that can be easily executed.

If things do not work out well between the dog and the handler, the trainers at the bird dog training Mission Bay School conduct evaluation on the way the handler and the dog work together.

Since the festive season is coming soon , buy a dog toy to let them know you realized their presence and wish to make them happy too. Just like kids, your dog may sense that the holiday season is near. With New Year, Thanksgiving and Christmas’s coming, why not buy a dog toy for them and put it under the Christmas tree for them too?

There are a number of of different dog toys in the market. Here’s a list of dog toys to help you choose a suitable toy for your pooch. Whether they are big, medium or small size dogs, there will definitely be one to suit them.

a)Plush Dog Toy comes in different sizes and shapes. From sporting themes to toys that look like car and train, to donuts and hotdogs shape like toy. Your dog will definitely be excited and happy with all these dog toys lying on its dog bed. There’s also nothing like a small dog toy or big dog toy to cheer your dog up and get him in the mood for this holiday season with buying a Christmas theme toy like Santa hats and candy canes plush dog toy .

b) Dog chew toys are suitable for puppies who have teething problem and dogs who like to chew on shoes and books. There are numerous dog chew toys available.

Dog Kong Toys promotes jawrobics workout. It is also healthy, stimulating nose-to-tail workout for reflex and every muscle. Inside the Kong toy, you can put in healthy dog treats and when they managed to squeeze out the treats from the Kong toy, they can enjoy a delicious treat coming out from the Kong toy. It satisfies a dog’s natural need to chew and also conditions the gum and cleans the teeth.

While there are Dog Kong toys, there’s another chewable dog toy that has the durability. The rubbers used are non-splintering, non-toxic, non-abrasive and does not get sharp when chewed. The rubbers are made out of several shapes and these dog chew toys can be chilled in a deep freezer and be reused again. The tough plastics consist of non-toxic water which are safe to be chews by all dogs.

When choosing a dog toy, it is essential to know what type of size or toys that are befitting for your dog. If the dog you own is small, then make sure the toys you buy are not too big for them. Inspect the dog chew toys before buying one. This is to make sure that your dog will not accidentally choke themselves with small bits that might come off from the toy.

This holiday season, cook up a sumptuous meal for your dog but let them eat in moderation. While it is fun to give them dog gifts, you can also consider giving them healthy dog treats and warm dog clothes to keep them looking hip, happy and healthy .

The benefits your pet will receive from staying fit are well worth the time and effort to make sure he gets plenty of exercise. A dog that is physically active will benefit on the emotional level as well as physically. It is vital to allow your dog to consistently have time to get outside and run. Running is a natural activity for dogs and it will help to keep them happy and healthy.

And of course you must make sure your dog is properly house trained
how to crate train a puppy
House training puppies
puppy potty training
Check these articles out for advice and tips on house breaking your pet. This task is essential for a healthy and rewarding relationship.

Keeping your dog healthy and active will boost his well being throughout his life. When the time comes when your pet has become old he will be able to deal with this phase of his life easier if he has been physically fit prior to becoming old. An essential element of dog health care is to make sure your pet is consistently living an active lifestyle since he will be able to deal with arthritis or circulatory problems and other health issues far better than if he has led a sedentary life. Dogs get the same rewards from exercise as humans receive.

Healthy Weight
An essential factor in a dog health care program is maintaining his weight at a healthy level. Research has shown that dogs that lead a sedentary life are significantly more susceptible to illnesses and medical problems when compared to active dogs. As part of your dog health care program take your dog out for some jogging or play fetch with him and participate in some activities where he gets a chance to run, but don’t allow your dog become too tired. If he has been sedentary for a considerable time start him on a gentle exercise program.

Physical Exam
One of the most esential and easiest elements of dog health care is to give him a healthy diet. ensure you feed him nutritional food which is meat based and do not overfeed your pet and don’t give him unhealthy snacks. Experts also recommend that part of a quality dog health care plan is to take your pet to your veterinarian for an annual physical check-up. If your dog is overweight it is essential to have your veterinarian check his thyroid condition.

A urine test can give information regarding bladder and kidney health and an annual blood chemistry panel will provide your veterinarian with information concerning the health of his organs. It is also a good idea to check his gums as well as his teeth to make sure he doesn’t have painful problems such as an abscessed tooth. Some experts suggest that bad oral health in your dog can lead to debilitation in senior dogs.

If your pet suffers from arthritis check with your veterinarian about dietary supplements and other products that might reduce the pain that he is dealing with. To summarize regarding dog health care, keep your pet physically active, feed him a nutritional diet and take him to your veterinarian on an annual basis for a physical examination.

What is Addison’s Disease and How to Treat it.

Constipation usually occurs when the dog does not get enough bulk in his diet or when he does not get enough proper exercise. When a dog does not get the chance to eliminate when he needs to, he may develop the habit of holding it in. A dog that is not let out enough will also likely to develop this habit. In these simple cases of constipation, you may use the following treatment to ease your dog’s discomfort:

1. Feed your dog a natural diet that includes fresh vegetables with sufficient amounts of bulk. Raw meat is also considered a natural laxative for dogs. If your dog’s stool looks dry, add to 1 teaspoon of bran (depending on his weight) to each serving of meal. Adding bran helps the stools hold extra moisture. You may also apply a similar treatment using to 2 teaspoons of powdered psyllium seed.

2. You may also use mineral oil temporarily in cases where there is a large build-up of hard stools. Depending on the size of your dog, add to 2 teaspoons to his meals twice a day, for no longer than a week. Continued use of this method is not ideal because the oil will draw reserves of vitamin A from the dog’s body.

3. Make sure that the dog is getting plenty of opportunity to go outside to relieve himself. Another treatment that is very effective is to make sure that your dog is getting enough sufficient exercise. Exercise is vital for massaging his internal organs and increasing the blood flow all over his body, which also stimulates a slow metabolism. Running, long walks, or playing fetch are great forms of exercise that both you and your dog can benefit from.

Chronic case of constipation

If your dog is suffering from chronic and prolonged constipation, you may also try homeopathic treatment, which is a natural form of remedy. Consult a vet who specializes in this form of treatment to determine if this is the best route to take.

Aluminum poisoning is also possible with a dog that has a weak rectum. Signs of aluminum poisoning include chronic constipation with straining and sticky and messy stools rather than hard ones. Even if the stool is soft, weak rectal muscles make passage difficult. If you feel that aluminum poisoning is the cause of your dog’s chronic constipation, stop using aluminum cooking pots and dishes when preparing your dog’s food. In addition, do not feed your dog processed cheeses, table salt, white flour, and tap water. To remove the aluminum from his body, use high doses of vitamin C about 500 milligrams to 3 grams per day along with zinc supplement - 5 milligrams for small dogs up to 20 milligrams for large dogs.

Housebreaking a Pomeranian is not easy and some owners even admit that in extreme cases some owners have given up. But always remember that housebreaking a Pomeranian is not a simple task and it can even take months to get it right. In some cases owners will give up and use Pomeranian litter box training in what they consider to be only a temporary measure in their housebreaking. Be warned that as much as you may think it is temporary your Pomeranian may not look at it that way.

Before you even consider Pomeranian litter box training you may first want to keep giving traditional housebreaking methods one more try. Sometimes the toy breeds will hide under couches or get into areas you may not look and that may be causing housebreaking issues. Make sure you try absolutely everything before resorting to Pomeranian litter box training as your housebreaking method.
If you are completely convinced that Pomeranian litter box training is what you need to do then get a litter box and then place it in the place where the dog has been soiling the most. Fill the litter box with shredded newspaper or some other organic fill. Do not use regular litter because they may eat it and get sick. Be prepared to clean the litter box regularly and still take the dog outside from time to time to continue the housebreaking training.

You can get your dog on a set feeding schedule so that you know when it will be needing to use the litter box, or you can just take it to the litter box every 45 minutes or so, to let your dog know that it is to use the litter box after eating. If there are accidents then clean them up and do not punish the dog. The dog will only respond to positive reinforcement so praise and reward it when it uses the litter box and avoid punishment at all times.
As your dog shows signs of getting used to Pomeranian litter box training then you can slowly start to move the box towards the door you want it to use to go outside. Once you get the litter box to the door start taking the dog outside and eventually, hopefully, you can get rid of the litter box so that the dog knows that the door is now its way to the bathroom. Be patient as any housebreaking with a Pomeranian takes time.

Be warned that once you start Pomeranian litter box training you may be stuck with a dog that only uses a litter box. To many owners this is better than the alternative of a dog that wets the carpet and that is why many stick with it. If you do not mind the idea of a dog using the litter box full time then you should be fine but many dog owners do not like this concept and that is why Pomeranian litter box training can be a bad idea.

The Havanese breed of small dogs is possibly one of the most fun breeds to train, provided the right approach is used. They are a playful animal and if training begins while they are puppies it can go quick and easy. Consider the puppy like a small child learning what the owner expects and despite a couple of Havanese problem behaviors is willing to learn and please their owner. However, time and patience can do wonders in its training.

Positive reinforcement goes a long way to help the puppy understand what is expected of it and if made to feel they are the center of attention during training exercises, they will be exceptionally happy to show off what they have learned. Most importantly, through patience and understanding the Havanese puppy has to know who is in charge of its training and once that is established will offer little resistance in learning new tricks.
Even the most experienced trainers may have some issues with a couple of Havanese problem behaviors such as understanding who is in charge of the training session and the need to be trained on where its bathroom is located. Using a litter box for the puppy can work well provided cat litter is not used. The puppy may tend to eat the litter, causing it to become ill, which is counterproductive to the training session.

Using paper litter pellets in a litter box is recommended, but the tough part may be to get the Havanese to remember when it is time to go to the bathroom. They are such a playful breed that they may become so wrapped up in their activities and forget about running to the box until it is too late. Since the Havanese enjoy learning new skills and tricks, letting the puppy know it is appreciated when it does use the box will have a positive impact on the training.
Training a new Havanese puppy can be exasperating at times as they may seem more interested in playing than in learning, but when they realize that their owner is happier with each new trick they learn, they become a more willing student. Havanese pups when left alone too long may start to entertain themselves, and that is not always a good thing as these frisky critters can have a destructive nature in their playing.

Providing plenty of chances to exercise the owner can help work through some of the Havanese problem behaviors with patience and gentle guidance. Similar to children these puppies react better to positive reinforcement than they do to harsh punishment. Their playful nature may belie the fact that they really do want to please their owner, yet once their role has been established and accepted, they are more than willing to become a vital part of the family.

Understanding the puppy’s needs is as important as the puppy understanding what its owner expects. This breed can be quick and willing to learn, but consistency is a necessary part of the Havanese training methods. Training a Havanese can be fun for the animal as well as its owner, but there may be some special needs of the breed that is not covered in generic dog training books.
